StrungisNet's School Section

Welcome to the school section of StrungisNet. It's been some time since there was anything here. This page's content will serve as a resourse for my High School students as well as a repository for school-related files and interesting educational stuff. Since I am teaching Graphic Design again, I can certainly get my geek on with this section of S(D)N.

Giveaway software
I am a firm believer in free software whenver possible. When I say free, I mean free as in speech, not free as in pirated. From the graphics standpoint there's lots to be found out there if one looks in the right places.
For image editing there's the GIMP which is a free Photoshop clone. The Windows port can be found here.
For vector graphics rendering ala Illustrator, there's Inkscape.
For desktop publishing there's Scribus.
For basic word processing there is AbiWord.

In case you're wondering, the background graphic is a modded version of the blueprint picture found here. :)
