May 29, 2008 Just came off a nice long Memorial Day weekend. No beach unfortunately....Got to watch the Tour of Somerville race on Monday from the best seat in town...We were on the roof of a welding supply house right at the starting line two stories up. I could see all the way down Main Street and could see every racer during each lap! It was great! Caught a little sunburn though. Went to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull last Friday! It's been 19 years since Last Crusade and 27 years since Raiders of the Lost Ark. I was 11 when I saw Indiana Jones for the first time and I've been hooked ever since. The wait for this last film was SO worth it! Sure, Harrison Ford is in his 60s, but the film is also set 19 years after LC and it all adds up nicely. I am not a big fan of Shia LeBeouf, however. There are nine more school days left in the year! Summer is coming for Strungis! |

November 4th, 2007 Man,it's been a busy couple of months! I am in grad school now! Yes, you heard right, Scott is in Graduate School. It's a 100% online program being done though National University out in California. Being a student again takes some getting used to. Of course, doing this all online means I can work whenever I get the chance. That's tricky for a More later if I get the chance. Supper's ready! |

August 29nd, 2007 Today is my Dad's birthday, he's 55 years old. I won't be seeing him til the weekend when Rachel and I head down the shore to see the Strungis side of the family. It'll be nice to see everyone for the day all in one place. My brother and his family will be there. My Grandpa as well. Next week is my father in-law's birthday as well. Today was a shopping day for the two of us as I needed to take care of two Dads and my brother. Part of the outing was at the Apple store at the local mall. I got to play around with some of the new stuff that I'd only prevously read about online and in magazines. The new iMacs were available for use as well as the spiffy new iPhone. I was totally impressed with the new iMac's design. Rachel's got one of the first-generation flat panel iMacs in her office. The improvements in design as well as a new keyboard are really sweet. The keyboard shares the same type of caps and style that's on the MacBook laptops. At first I was not too keen on it, but typing on it is no tougher than working with my Sony Vaio's v505bx keyboard. Once you get used to the short travel on the keys and no clackity clack noise all is well. I might get one of those keyboards for home use. It would look awesome in the living room. |

August 22nd, 2007 Well, it's been a long time since I updated this space. This year's summer vacation is coming to a quick end and I need to keep sharp with Adobe's GoLive as I will be teaching it again this year. It's quite a departure from my usual free editors and it allows me to get a lot fancier with stuff on this and other pages. The rollover buttons on the top are one indicator...and heck, I like em! :) I recently got back from the Virgin Islands and had a great time. I spent almost a week onboard a 44 foot catamaran sailing around the British Virgin Islands. What a trip! I saw and did things that I will remember forever. Sailing is really cool and I think that I have been bitten by the bug! I jumped off the deck of the Willie T bar, snorkeled and swam everyday, and got to fly in a twin engine 8 passenger Cessna (and sit in the copilot's chair). Doing a little online research I figured out that our little plane was at least 20 years old as that partucular series of aircraft went out of production in 1985. Wow. The only bummer to the whole trip was that Hurricane Dean cut our charter short by two days. For now the links at the top go nowhere. I have to rebuild those pages from scratch. |
